Racespot TV 24 hours of Spa Francorchamps

We’ve waited very long for it but it seems that we finally get our promised drivers swaps functionality in the new iRacing build next week. With this functionality it’s possible to share one car with multiple drivers what gives us to opportunity to do some proper endurance racing.

As announced a few weeks ago we enter two cars in the NEO 6 hours endurance series starting mid November but why not go one step further an do a 24 Hours race? Racesport TV will organize the first 24 hours race for iRacing ever at the famous Spa circuit and we will enter one Ford GT for what is going to be an epic event.

Racespot TV:  “Spa Francorchamps is known as one of the toughest racetracks in the world. The corner names roll of the tongues, and winners of a race at Spa know that they have achieved a feat many will attempt in their lives, but few will succeed. What better place therefore to host a 24 hour race to welcome in all 24 hour races to follow, than the 4.5 mile ribbon of asphalt set in the Ardene mountains.

With little to no sleep for our 5 drivers this will be one of our toughest races and although we want to end up as high as possible finishing will be already a huge achievement.

Driver line-up:

– Jasper Groeneweg (NL)
– Lars Moldenhauwer (DE)
– Phil Widdowson (UK)
– Stefan Coppens (NL)
– Timo Verhoest (BE)

Qualifications take place this weekend and the race itself starts on November 1st at 17:00 GMT (18:00 CET). The whole race will be live on Racespot TV with Will Vincent and Oskar Hardwick as commentators. The race is not only tough for the drivers but also for the commentators of this marathon broadcast. To chear them up you can donate to one of their charities.
